We’ve teamed up with education-focused cyber organisations to help teachers run student driven learning sessions. These lesson plans encourage peer to peer discussion around the aspects of sportsmanship, with a goal to create a stronger understanding of what appropriate online behaviour looks like and how students can put this into practice.

A collaboration between Riot Games and The Cybersmile Foundation, this lesson plan introduces students to the concept of teamwork, focusing on communication, cooperation and player relationships through structured discussion and group exercises.

A collaboration between Riot Games and The Cybersmile Foundation, this lesson plan looks at how a consistent positive approach can help players support and motivate each other, regardless of the situation, creating a cohesive team approach to maintaining productive and positive gameplay.

Teaching Resilience and a Team-Oriented Mindset

A collaboration between Riot Games and Two Hat Security, this lesson plan asks students to reflect on their behaviour directly after a game of League of Legends, encouraging students to develop and articulate some concrete personal strategies for dealing with online situations, including the stress of competition.

These club materials are to help students understand the aspects of sportsmanship, and reflect on their performance and behaviour in-game. These materials are designed to be used alongside League of Legends to guide and support purposeful student learning.

Sportsmanship Discussion Cards

Colourful cards that cultivate student driven discussion around League of Legends and online behaviour. These cards are designed for double-sided printing, intended to be cut into quarters.

Aspects of Sportsmanship

Classroom materials to help students understand and connect with the six aspects of sportsmanship. These materials encourage self reflection and analysis of a student’s own behaviour, asking them to identify with different levels of mastery within each aspect. Feel free to use our condensed, interactive version of these materials too!

Sportsmanship Workshop Pack

We’ve taken the League of Legends sportsmanship workshop to multiple education events across Australia. The following assets are free to use, being designed to encourage students to discuss and analyse the importance of sportsmanship and online etiquette in game.
